Design
technical knowledge with reference to their requirements for temporary structures.
MALMO STEELS design department consist of a team of temporary structure designers with extensive learning in structural engineering, training in line with latest computer assisted design softwares worldwide, knowledge in statutory and regulatory requirements for designing, ethics and experience in their domain; enhanced by the practical application of engineering principles at site to ensure that all design has been prepared in accordance with its intention during the period of construction.
This department assures that customers can get quality service in relation to health and safety of the public and consequently economy in the field of building construction and its maintenance.
This has been proven by 14 years of our continuous wide experience in this particular field of specialization as means in assisting architects, structural engineers, contractors, politicians, businessmen and laymen to achieve their goal in bringing about a well orderly infra structures for civil society in places such as the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Philippines, and Singapore where construction such as bridges, water reservoirs, domes, university, schools, library, high rise commercial and residential buildings, villas and hundreds of town houses had been accomplished with much concern in health and safety of all concerned individual.
MALMO STEELS design department continue to innovate formwork systems by continuously searching economical methods with a sense of moral responsibility for the health and safety of the public that shall eventually meet changing customers need as the process of construction continue to evolve to shorten construction period and reduced the burden of labor at site.
This formwork system is designed conforming to the metric standard. The complete system is widely in use in civil engineering field for its simple, fast erection and dismantling aside from its simple frame arrangement for static analysis.
It comprises of all steel modular components with top and bottom cup locking connections of vertical and horizontal frame members, screw jacks for adjustment and leveling, drophead with jack adaptor, decking and infill beams under the plywood.
All vertical and horizontal components frame system is 48.3mm diameter tube making it easier to stabilize from horizontal forces with scaffold tube for tying and bracing.
Decking and infill beam under the plywood may be removed in few days after pouring the slabs by striking the drophead wedge but with supporting temporary structure frame system remaining undisturbed for the full curing period.
Further advantage of this system is that all decking beams with nominal size of 1.20m, 1.80m, and 2.50m respectively and infill beams with nominal size of 0.90m, 1.20m, 1.60m, and 1.70m respectively are connected as simple beams that any failure of any elements may not be the failure of the whole system.
Owing to its versatility such as the size of standard or vertical member with a nominal length of 1.0m, 1.30m, 1.50m, 1.80m, 2.0m, 2.30m, 2.50m, 2.80m, and 3.0m along with ledger or horizontal member having a nominal length of 0.90m, 1.0m, 1.20m, 1.30m, 1.60m, 1.80m, and 2.50m; it can support slabs equivalent to a multi- story building in height from the ground.
This formwork system has similar function like k-lock slab formwork except that it has features of decking locking frame system.
This formwork system is designed conforming to the imperial and metric standard. Unlike k- lock formwork system, it has more decking with less infill beam but is widely in use as well in civil engineering field for its safety, economy and utility.
It comprises of all steel modular components with wedge type locking connections of vertical and horizontal frame members, screw jacks for adjustment and leveling, k-stage drophead with spigoted universal jack, decking and infill beams under the plywood.
All vertical and horizontal components frame system is 48.3mm diameter tube making it easier to stabilize from horizontal forces with scaffold tube for tying and bracing.
Decking and infill beam under the plywood may be removed in few days after pouring the slabs by striking the k-stage drophead camlock wedge but with supporting temporary structure frame system remaining undisturbed for the full curing period.
Further advantage of this system is that all decking beams are connected as simple beams, that is, easy to analyze and to carry out static calculation.
Stability and strength of the whole system can be controlled according to requirements by controlling the spacing of standards or posts with suitable bracing system, vertical spacing of ledgers or horizontal members and spacing of infill beams.
